Fact #1. Although MA Convention 2011 will be hosted by District 8 in New York, the hotel is technically situated across the Hudson River from Manhattan (about a six min. train ride to the World Trade Center site) in a little area called "Wall Street West". Take a look at the view! >>>
Fact #2. Although the Statue of Liberty (and Ellis Island) is much associated with New York, it is in fact accessible from Jersey City's Liberty State Park, less than 20 mins. from Exchange Place via the light rail/taxi. (Google "Virtual tours liberty state park")
Fact #3. There is a discount code so that the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel rooms will be affordable to all visitors from the West and beyond the galaxy. Far from the cost of a typical NY hotel stay, they will only be $129/night! Check out the hotel's site at http://jerseycity.hyatt.com/

Fact #4. The most convenient airport to fly into would not be JFK nor La Guardia; it would be the Newark International Airport. The airport offers a free Airtrain ride to the NJTransit train stop which is one stop to Newark Penn Station. From there the PATH train towards WTC (World Trade Center) takes you to Exchange Place (about a one minute walk to the Hyatt Regency Hotel). Currently, flights from the western states range from $350 - $450 after doing a quick check from Feb 18th to Feb 21st on discount travel sites.
Fact #5. Although regular registration fee is $60 on the day of the event, from August until November, it is only $45! And as of December, it will go up to $55. Register for this online at Register online
